Independent access was provided, including splayed scaffold sections to work around the existing building. Bespoke designed bridge sections were installed across both gable ends, specifically designed to ensure no scaffold loading was transferred directly onto the lower roof. This provided a safe and practical solution while maintaining full access around the building.
The project also involved working within a live academy environment, meaning careful planning, communication and consideration of pupils, staff and day-to-day academy operations was essential throughout the erection process.
